I engaged Explosion Marketing to develop a new business website. Nyrie Roos was my primary contact. I became obsessed with mastering Marketing, Website Development, Sales Funnel and Landing Pages, Lead Generation, Automation and Conversion Optimization in 2006, and I haven’t looked back since.I come from a corporate background, escaped this world and survived to grow thriving businesses that I love. Work is no longer work…it’s a vocation! I understand what marketing growth should and needs to look like for any business owner, having experienced this first hand and having worked with coaches, consultants, B2C and B2B clients across a wide range of niches.

My career has been one long learning process based on trial and error. I’ve basically made every Marketing and Conversion Optimization mistake possible, learning everything the hard way. This gives me a solid grounding in the reality of what works – not just what theoretically should work based on someone’s opinion. In fact, if someone tells you they can increase your conversions by doing “X” without strategy, run for the hills!

I firmly believe that strategy and research is by far the most important aspect of balanced successful Marketing Mastery, whatever shape or form it takes. Hence I take the time to understand my client’s desires, their vision and their qualified market.  My logic is that the better we understand the problems we face and your market faces, the easier it is to solve them.

This well-known quote by Abraham Lincoln summarizes my thinking when it comes to Marketing Mastery: “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I’ll spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

Strategy, planning and research when it comes to Marketing, Lead Generation, and Conversion Optimisation are my equivalent of sharpening the axe. I want to increase my chances of chopping down the trees for you in the first attempt, rather than hacking away blindly till we randomly hit something – that may not even be a tree.

I have trust and belief in the methodology I work through with clients, to ensure they get the highest possible “end game” results. I believe that psychology, statistics, user experience & design, web analytics, copywriting and not least business sense based in reality are the core components of palpable Marketing Mastery. 

I want to retire the bizarre yet common misconception that Marketing and Results are one and the same. They are not. Marketing without “sharpening the axe” is like trying to cut a coconut with a butter knife!You need to do your sharpening and then go out chopping down your trees to achieve Marketing Mastery that delivers sustainable results and growth in your business.  If this resonates with you, your speaking my language.
