I was going through a website design with a new client and one of the key things that business owners often forget is that they have only seconds and need to cut the guff and get to the point as quickly as possible.
Yeh sure, use punchy copy but make it count and make a point.
Be succinct and give people the answers to what they set out to search online for.
Don’t “hide in the shadows” of copy and filler words, tell the story they’re looking to hear!
According to Nelson Norman Group 55 % of visitors spend less than 15 seconds on a website.
Essentially a website visitor wants to know a few key things:
1. What are You Selling?
2. What’s your value proposition?
3. What’s the Cost?
4. What makes you different?
5. Can I Navigate Your Site With Ease?
6. What other people are using it and what do they say?
7. Can I Trust You?
8. How do I contact you?

Now, what’s the long-term impact of making this information easy to find and crystal clear on your website?
Put simply, higher engagement, higher relevancy, a lower #bouncerate and increased conversions.
Which website visitor questions do you think are the most vital to address and how do you know objectively you are giving your #website visitors what they’re looking for? #websiteredesign #successstream #inboundmarketing #ecommerce
